Transfer students and welcome week
I was wondering if transfer students are treated as first year students when it comes to welcome week, like are we allowed to buy Mac passes and get the faculty jumpsuits and all that?

I could be wrong, but I think the only thing that is limited to just first years is the MacPass. Even without the MacPass, you can still get into most of the events. I think the jumpsuits you're referring to are the Welcome Week Reps. Those are upper year students who organize Welcome Week.

I would think transfer students count as first years, since it's your first year at Mac. You can email the First Year Experience Office and ask: [email protected]

i was a transfer student in september entering first year, yes you can buy a macpass but what ull find out is transfer students move in date to res (if ur living in res) is like half way into the week so if u dont have somewhere to stay before its really pointless in purchasing... you can just buy tickets to events ie. concerts that ur interested in for a fraction of the cost of a macpass
