After looking at the 2013/2014 Undergraduate Calendar, it seems the requirements for the BA in Health, Aging & Society has some changes from the 2012/2013 one.

In contrast to the previous course list, the newest 2013/2014 update omits this certain line: "9 units from Course List or Health, Aging and Society". While it displays the program's specific course list, it no longer states whether the electives I need to take should be from that list.

With that said, does that mean I am able to stray away from the course list (considering many of the listed conflict with the times of my BSW courses), and take general Health, Aging & Society (among other) electives?

Make sure both are requirements for the same program. So check that they're both requirements for BA and that not one of them is for an honours/combined honours program.

You should contact the School of Social Work's academic advisor (it used to be Diane Allen, but I believe she has since retired). I remember Diane saying that the HAS BA was difficult to coordinate around the SW schedule. The school's website says her replacement is Tammy Maikawa.
