valuables
whats a good safe place to store valuables in your room? things like an ipod, phone, wallet, stuff like that. what could i do to keep them safe?

I personally kept mine in the top drawer of my desk, but thats because I trusted/knew my roommate from high school... It really depends on how comfortable you and your roommate are. If I were you, I would just keep it in your backpack or whatever you use or sonmething that you'll always keep on you/is hard for outsiders to access.

The most important thing is to make sure that you and your roomate(s) lock the door everytime you're not there. If you do that, you should be able to just leave them in drawers or on the desk. The high majority of people in university are paying a lot of money to study and have a good time, not to steal people's Ipods. However, there's always a select few which ruin it for everyone. I've always kept my stuff left out in the open in my room, but my room is always locked every time i leave.

If it's really a problem or simply 'better safe than sorry', you can purchase those small file cabinets, the super heavy ones with locks in them.
