I want to Kno!
Meh, who else know about a textbook tablet name Kno?

If you don't, I invite you to check our their site and watch the trailers (Click on the side images to view more video).

From the Wiki page on Kno it does look like a capable system.
  • Dual 14.1 inch screen
  • Dual-core CPU (nVidia Tegra 2)
  • Full supports for HTML5 and Flash
Imagine if McMaster fully adopt this system?
I really hate the upcoming generation. They have so much cool stuff!

But, I don't know, I'd honestly prefer a nice hardcover textbook over a tablet.
Call me old fashioned, but unless it's a hologram book, I'll take a hardcopy please and thank ya.

Reported as being 5.5 lbs for dual screen.

This should be on a flat surface anyway like a binder or textbook so it shouldn't be too bad.

I hear ya. But looking at the trailer, I love how they merge static and motion content.

Reading up on DNA replication and being able to see full motion video of the process will definitely take learning to a new level.

And that is why the next generation of Kno should have color e-Ink instead of LCD.

eInk, from my personal experience, replicate paper ink very well. It use very little power since it only need to use power to refresh or turn the page.

Problem with it right now is the cost, refresh rate, and some other stuff.

It's just so... in the middle.
Like it's not quite the "next" level, but it's close to it.
The delay with the pen (a very slight one) can get annoying, reminds me of a DS. And the lack of an actual physical mark, meh, I don't know. I guess I'm use to ink pens, highlighters, etc.

Delay with pen?

I have a tablet and so far havn't notice any. You must have super sensitive vision.

Lack of actual physical mark is a good thing. When I finish writing on a page, it curls up because I press on my pen so hard. In fact, my letters turns into braille. I won't mind avoiding all that.

Digital note is nice too because you can archive it a lot easier than paper. Sharing will also be easier.

but the thing is with the kno u also have to buy the texts to put onto it and they are just as expensive as a normal text, personally im old fashoned, theres somehting about oppening a new hard cover thick 1000 page textbook that just feels so good, plus the actual books look much nicer on a shelf then on a screen. plus the feel of turning actual pages and not having to ruin your eyes trying to read a bright screen, well ACTUAL TEXTS RULE sry its just the truth
