Watches, anyone?
Anyone on here who is passionate about watches? Thinking about starting a discussion?

Oh yes. I have owned a Romanson watch for more than 8 years now. Love that watch to death.

And, this is the one I'm waiting for. Once its released, I'll get it in a heartbeat, whatever the price is.

Oh, wow! That looks fantastic! That definitely piqued my interest.
Will look into it more.

Right now, I am more into the classic timepieces. Divers, chronos, fliegers, etc.

I wouldn't call it ugly, but it sure isn't one of the best looking out there.

It is pretty minimalist. I like the concept. In terms of looks I tend to like Burberry and the player series by Nixon.

Yep, they make some beautiful watches. Very expensive though.

Omega's are some of my favourite watches..but having saved for one (and not yet buying...so close just haven't pulled the trigger yet) I have noticed their price spike in the last few years...likely coinciding with increased marketing. The sea master pro 300 is the watch that got me "into watches" but I now think there are a lot cooler watches for the money (nomos immediately comes to mind). Coming from an engineering mgmt background like yourself...I think it is fair to say that I'd rather pay for iconic industrial design, high quality materials and precision machining/movements than a brand image that is "cool" That being said the co-axial is neat.

If you haven't checked them out yet the Tudor pelagos titanium and the Rolex milgauss are my favourite diver and anti-magnetic presently. Not super in love with the flieger aesthetically...but a saw an iwc flieger once that did it for me.

I had a Swatch (not a fancy one) back in high school and it was alright. I think many people nowadays just use their phones to tell the time. Even alarm clocks are being taken over by cell-phones.
I might get a nice one like the Moto 360 in the future.

After seeing the first few smart watches, I never thought they would catch on. Now that I see how pretty they are becoming, I can't wait
