				Ways to Stay Awake

So I'm planning on staying awake from 3 am this morning to about 2 pm on Saturday.... because commerce sucks. And I need some hints on staying awake.

Caffeine/sugar does not affect me AT ALL. In fact, caffeine puts me more to sleep, if anything.
Loud music just distracts me.

Do those 5 hours energy drinks work? People say they work for like, the 5 hours, but then they literally knock you out. Can I just take one like every 4 hours and it'll keep my wired?

Any ideas?!

I should probably buy some visene too. D:

My advice would be to not stay awake. Whether you're writing an essay or doing an exam, it's not going to help you. It's better to study for 2 hours and sleep for 6 hours than to study for 8 hours. You won't remember anything and your writing will be poor.

BUT if you're set on staying up, I would suggest the energy drinks. My dad works long hours and he lives on those things.

Well, cold showers tend to wake you up fairly easily... so maybe taking them periodically will shake away the sleepies. Doing exercises like jumping jacks or burpees will get your blood flowing, and keep you a bit more alert. Also, going outside at night when it's really cold helps if you aren't properly bundled up. Take quick naps, 30-45 minute ones after studying for a few hours - it'll help with retention and processing. Hmm what else... normally I'd suggest things like iced cappuccinos and Dr. Pepper (blend of caffeine and sugar) but those are ineffective I presume. :]

I'm not a fan of energy drinks though... definitely not healthy.

Keep drinking water. Just drink and drink water. Having to pee will keep you up. Also keep your window open and make the environment a bit uncomfortable (i.e. cold). It's helped me before.

well for last few weeks i dont sleep till like 4am and its not because im working.

But i wud take energy drinks, showers, and here and there watch sum videos as well. You just dont wana study for 11 hrs straight.

Although, i wud just sleep at like 4 or so and get up at around 9-10am.

I think i have the same midterm as u (2AA3), and i will just start today doing 2/3 chapters today and then do last chpt tmr. Do samples sat morning. That way u wont have to stay up.

That water things sounds like TORTURE. Talk about cruel and unusual punishment. Definitely seems like it would work though. I'll try that tonight. xD

It's used for ADHD patients, it raises concentration, alertness, and overall cognitive performance, while reducing fatigue.

Source: Wikipedia, of course.

P.S. I in no way condone the use of precription drugs

		Modafinil or Adrafinil
I doubt you'll be able to get any though, unless you know a narcoleptic

Ritalin/Methyphenadate lol which is basically Aderall
Kidding of course

The water trick helps, also keeping your room uncomfortably freezing cold.
and BRIGHT LIGHTS!!!
Try to be in a really bright room, i mean not so bright that you're practically blinded by it but you get the point, bright lights wake people up

go for a short brisk walk outside

but it's best to just take short naps

That NOS stuff you can get at the Esso on Leland can usually keep me up all night and then some. It'll certainly take a few weeks off your life though.
