it was pretty easy, as long as you go to classes and take good notes you'll do awesome.

I've heard a lot of good things about Dr. Maclachlan, so I decided to take Water. Rate my professors has pretty good comments for him.

Dr. Maclachlan is one of the best profs i've had. He taught me first year enviro sci and I love his teaching style. He's a really cool guy and I would highly recommend him!

Meh, you shouldn't rely on ratemyprofessors. Anyway, if Riller isn't teaching (obviously he isn't this upcoming term), then Natural Disasters is the easiest - otherwise Water is the easiest. Gemstones was the easiest two years ago, but Dr. Rink is no longer teaching it and entire course structure has become more difficult.

thanks for all the feedback! ...i've read all the outlines and the one that i think is least interesting for me is gemstones so i've ruled this option out ...so i'm deciding between water and natural disasters (this class is full but if people recommend this course more than water i'll try email the prof to get in...it worked for me last time) ...

Natural Disasters was a "disaster" for me with Riller. lol But John Maclachlan is awesome, I think his teaching style is much better so I'd say that one would be easiest.

I heard that theyre trying to make the Gemstones course more science related. My friends sister is in it and she has no science background and is having a tough time with it.

I'll be taking the water course (enviro/earth sci 2WW3), but I think all of them got harder over the past two years... yes I'm old ='( But Maclachlan is a great prof. I had him for Geo 2G03 a while back =)

I think out of those 3, natural disasters would be the most interesting. I'm in Water right now, and Maclachlan is a great guy! I've had him for two other earth sci courses. He is trying something new this term, with participation marks and closed book quizzes with the iclicker during class. He also mentioned in class that the only way to get into the class is to try on SOLAR, since he does not have the power to get students into the course.
