Coming to a Mac forum to ask whether Mac or UTM is a better school probably won't give you a clear answer :(.

go to waterloo or utsg. Don't know about utm but I'm guessing the faculty there isn't as good as at utsg. McMaster isn't renown for its comp sci program, though if you plan on doing graduate studies your undergrad isn't that important in the long run. In terms of campuses, I liked the McMaster campus more out of the two but that is preferential.

Go to UTM.

Mac doesn't have a very good computer science program. Not a lot of people go for it as a result. In fact, the past few years, there has been like less than 5 graduates. One year, only one person came out.

You must be kidding. Because, if you are not, you are really in the wrong.

UTM for comp sci. As others have said, McMaster isn't known for its comp sci at all.

You make your degree: Not your school.

Mac's Comp Sci is part of the Eng Faculty. That means you are part of the Engineering society, with all of its abundant (Read: Half million dollars) in resources FOR STUDENTS. Comp Sci is not a part of the U of T Eng Faculty, and not a part of the Eng student society. You don't get the same benefits.

And again, you make your degree: What really defines your undergrad is what experiences you have, especially extracurricular. Mac Eng has far more potential for you, simply due to the student society.

If you rely on the school to make you a good student or a degree, you're going about it wrong..

McMaster has a great community and student society; while many are not fans of the teaching, and it isn't known for comp sci, it's a great place.

In all honesty, you probably won't regret coming here, however.
"It's a shit education, but it's a great place."
