sorry can u explain how warp allows for travelling long distances within an instance?

While they never explicitly say just how fast they can go with their warp, we know they travel at least faster than light. Very very fast=long distances quickly. We can also extrapolate from Han Solo's bit on making the kessel run in 12 parsecs (roughly 39.12 light years) that they can travel many times faster than the speed of light

edit: apparently the normal kessel run is 18 parsecs (~58.86 light years) I doubt you'd spend a whole year on a smuggling run so I guesstimate they have at least achieved travel of over 59x light speed.
