Our annual ‘WoulduRather’ contest is a popular McMaster event. The contest encourages students to become smoke-free and brings over 300 student participants. The contest runs from January 24 - March 7th, register by 11 pm Jan 23.

For Non-Smokers, Ex-Smokers and Smokers.

The contest has 4 categories:
Don’t Start and Win (for non-smokers and ex-smokers);
-don't start smoking during the contest period
Party Without the Pack (for social smokers);
-don't smoke when drinking alcohol
Keep the Count (for smokers to reduce smoking);
-reduce your tobacco intake by %50 or more
Quit for Good (for smokers to quit entirely)
-quit and stay smoke free for 6 weeks

You can enter the contest if you:
* Smoke every day or almost every day (Non-smokers are welcome!)
* Are a student with a valid student ID number
* Have a buddy who will register with you

Why/how can non smokers enter, and does this only apply to tobacco?

I think non-smokers can enter just to make it open to everyone and for them to stay non-smokers. As for how, it's the same link (there will be options when you go to the site). Not sure about the tobacco thing though =/.

Non-smokers can enter in the Don't Start and Win category! Just continue to stay smoke free during the contest period and get a chance to win!

Not just for tobacco or cigarette smokers, marijuana/weed, shisha smokers can also enter in the Keep the count or Party without the pack categories!
