my cousin uses those stair drawers. he just built alternate stairs on top of existing ones and crafted empty drawres to fit inbetween

The rest of the stuff is pretty cool though; I'm a huge pack rat and a sucker for innovative stuff like this. Staircase drawers are my favourite though. After thinking about it, I'm kind of surprised it hasn't caught on yet. There's probably a practical downside though, like stability or something, but that should be work-aroundable.
