I know! Sometimes even a .5 or less, since they don't round up the grades:(

so do they have to go back to grade 12 for whole year or they can choose just 1 sem? or even do a summer school this year but count it for their next application to Mac.

Most likely, people would take a full year at school, or even a semester, but most programs only start in September, so they would have to wait a whole year to get an admission offer into Mac.

well they could take time to work and get more $$$. only problem is their friends will be ahead of them and won't be in same classes etc. but that's not really the point of Uni anyways, ur there to learn and succeed and make something of urself.

True, but at the same time, why would you waste a whole year of your life, feeling that you're not being productive in any way, but financially. Also, I prefer avoiding the drop in marks to begin with. WIth a little work, an 80 or 85 is not impossible to achieve or anything.

As long as you meet the requirements for a specific program, you can apply and enter. However, I'm not too sure about Engineering, I'll check the undergrad calendar
