Math 1LS3
I think this course was very easy. We started at a very basic level (probably grade 9 math) with the linear equation and moved up from there. The last unit, integration, was the only major new thing but it wasn't too bad.
Your mark was the better of :
4 tests, lowest...

muns2- I know :( it's so weird.. But like Jeremy mentionned, they probably have seats reserved for certain programs.. LIfe Sci is one of them < that's why I can see it ? >, But they'll definitely open the seats to everyone after the sectioning between Aug 13 and 18th.

Sara you are so lucky...I am stuck with 1LS3 T__T
Hopefully they do open up.
I read the the posts whihc state that the integration is not too tough. But just to make is explicit: There is nothing like finding volume of a sphere/cone or a 3D thing using intergration right?

I don't even think there are 3D things in Math 1A03. I learnt it in Math 1AA3.

If you want to go to Med School in the states, some of them required a full year of calculus. I think the norm might be half a year though. Again, it depends on the medical school. You should really start doing your homework on medical schools now so you know what to take each year instead of cramming everything you are missing in your last year.

thats true. Because I have looked at almost all medical school in canada, and they only require 1 sems.
Also, there are so many recommended courses. If I were to take them all I would have to do 48 units of Level I courses. Do you thats a waste of money and courses, and that I should be more focused on some med schools that other?

Take all the required courses for sure. As for the recommended courses, I say take the most common ones as they will apply to most medical schools. Chances of admission increase when you take recommended courses. You should definitively do your homework on medical schools, find out which ones are good and which ones aren't so great. Each school is different in the way that they teach and the resources they have on hand (for example: clinics).

That is excellent advice. I never really looked twice at the recommended courses becuase I didn't think they mattered a lot. Thanks for the heads up!
