drop social work or take physics in 2nd term. as everyone else has said, taking 6 courses when it isnt necessary is not worth it. in 1st year science, really try hard to get as best grades as possible. 6 courses just makes it a lot harder. i would recommend just straight up dropping the physics right now and trying to add it in december or something.

As a first year student, how do you have any experience with handling a 6 course load to know if it is plausible or not?

OP, 6 courses is definitely manageable, go with what you have and you can always switch during the first week of school if an opportunity arises

I would recommend you to take math 1ls3 if you're not strong in math. You do not need to take math 1a03 for physics 1b03. Also, you can take physics 1b03 in the summer, it would not cause any problems in you second year program selection. I personally to a six credit course of physics at York university (transfers into physics 1b03 and 1bb3). I would suggest you to not take 6 courses in the first term because the jump form high school to university is huge, and you wouldn't want your GPA to be affected.
Keeep trying solar!!! GOOD LUCK

Thank you all for your responses!! They were really helpful!
I ended up getting Physics 1B03 in term 2. I guess I was lucky yesterday and SOLAR said it was AVAILABLE!

I have experience as a first year student - I took 5 courses and found it overwhelming. 6 would be a lot for an incoming student, let alone any student.
