The 2011 McMaster Engineering Musical, The Whiz, will be taking place on March 17th, 18th, and 19th. Tickets are on sale in the JHE and are also available for reserve online at www.macengmusical.com !

What is an engineering musical?
Each year, a group of ambitious engineering students gets together to put on a singing and dancing extravaganza. Complete with a full band and our unique interpretations of popular songs, the musical is an annual tradition in McMaster Engineering.

Beginning in September, auditions are held and a cast is chosen. Week by week, the show is put together with students running the whole thing, from writing songs, to creating the script, building sets and playing music. And they have a great time while doing it.

This year's plot teaser:
I have a feeling we're not in high school anymore! Dora has big plans until she mysteriously wakes up one day in the strange and crazy land of Mac Eng. Wanting to go home, she seeks the help of the famed lifetime student, the Whiz. Along her travels she meets some friends who would also like the Whiz's help, but will they make it to ETB before the evil Professor Moulton does away with them? Join us March 17th, 18th, and 19th to find out!!

Tickets are available for 8$ or 12$ including a bus from JHE annex to the theatre and back.

I honestly don't trust the humor, nor depth of other people.. looks okay from youtube I guess!

Yeah, there's tons of footage on youtube - look for the ones by strackj! They're by the guy who used to do our sound and video so they're really high quality.

Unfortunately there's none on there from last year (he did post a few on facebook though ^^; )

The show is great for everyone. Even faculty members and profs come out to see it every year.

If anybody's worried about the musical ripping on other faculties (including yours), it's really downplayed, and they're just subtle quips.

We always make fun of our faculty and profs WAY more.

If you're not doing anything Thursday, Friday or Saturday, please come out! It'll be a lot of fun for everyone (even your parents
