Not to start a flame war or put down the original poster, but I had the same assignment 2 years ago in COE 2DP4 (anti-requisite to your 2DA3), except for us it was an in lab assignment (i.e. you have 3 hours, GO!)

There was quite a bit of prep-work from what I recall but once we sat down and worked everything out based on lectures, assignments and previous labs it all kind of fell into place. Then we went into the lab and worked out the bugs as needed.

ye, it sounds like yours was more organized. This is quite different, especially in terms of timing. This is not in-lab(the coming lab period is to finish our last lab). We will have no lab time for this(exams, duh). It probably is pretty easy in the end, but it's still a pain in the rear to do this during exams :S

May I suggest you get started right away to leave as little as possible during exams.
