I'm sure if it's for legit reasons you should be fine. Most people here are in their undergrad, so I'm not sure if someone here can answer your question but take a stab at it. Did you contact your academic advisor? Perhaps try e-mailing him/her and asking them?

I wouldn't sweat it. If it's for legitimate reasons I don't see why they would 'punish' you in a way for that. Good luck and keep us posted.

I believe for most graduate schools (and possibly professional schools, if they look at stuff like that) will ask you why you have 3 deferred exams before making a decision. Many applications also have an area where you can write any extenuating circumstances they should be aware of.

i'm pretty sure your transcript doesn't say DEF on like grade reports.
on degree audit, it is usually replaced with your mark.
I asked science advisor on this because I had the same problem.

Yep, kwyhan is right. Transcript doesn't have DEF on it. Don't worry.

Transcript and grade report are two different things. Just because it says so on grade report, doesn't mean it will on the transcript. There are also things that appear on the transcript that aren't on grade report.

muons says thanks to nerual for this post.
