3rd year Life Science Courses
Can someone please shed some light on the following courses:

Life Sci 3EP3 - Applied Life Sciences Placement
Life Sci 3RP3 - Life Sciences Research Practicum
Life Sci 3X03 - Experimental Design for Life Sciences
Life Sci 3Z03 - Life Sciences Inquiry

I feel like these aren't the typical lecture type of classes and haven't heard much about them, but if anyone has taken these courses in the past, how was your experience? How is the workload, did you find it beneficial, was it hard to cope with while taking it with your other 4 courses?

Thanks in advance!

3X03 and 3Z03 are both new courses being offered for the first time this year, so there's not much information out there about them. As far as I know, 3X03 has lectures (and written work) and 3Z03 is a small group topic-based course.

For 3EP3 and 3RP3, there are no lectures at all. You have to arrange for these placements with a faculty member or another organization by your self. Then you discuss how you will be evaluated with your supervisor. You would spend a set amount of time each week at that placement for the term.

3X03 and 3RP3 are good prep if you want to do a thesis in your fourth year.
