8 dollar cover @ 1280 WTF
A friend of mine just told me that it was 8 dollars to get in last night??? That's ruhtarded .

How the hell can you expect a STUDENT bar to survive when they are charging 8 dollars unless drinks are 1.50 or 2 all night long.

8 dollars better not be the standard cover charge all year long otherwise 1280 won't exist to see the Spring!

huh?
$8 is a bargain.

And it's not a bar, but a club/bar (emphasis on the club).
And drinks are about $3.50 I believe. Which is also a bargain.

I've never been to a club where the cover was less than $10. I think $8 is pretty good

Is that $8 for a student under 19? Cover for those under `19 is also usually more expensive.

Agreed, I've been very few places were cover was less than $10, unless it was ladies night and before 11pm

Don't forget about the $50,000 speakers that they got only a few months ago.

So, to answer your question with an approximate total of $450,000, it's 56250.

If you're trying to get more people in the bar- a brand new version of a bar that struggled incredibly with attendance last year is DOUBLING the cover charge really that great of an idea?

Maybe it's that high to compensate for the people who end up sneaking through the back. :|

No kidding! Wow I hope they fixed all the corruption at the bar... I mean no wonder they lost money when most of my friends would go through the back. Obviously its a student bar so what can you expect, but I mean thats our student fees just going down the drain.

yeh... I think the drinks are pricey there. Pheonix has good beer there if you need a drink go there. But $8 cover aint bad.

We've all been to those places. But many of those are in Toronto.

This is a STUDENT bar in HAMILTON. I understand that you have to pay expenses and a 400k reno is certainly a big expense, but those prices certainly don't entice people to come to a bar.

This bar struggled the last 2 years with 4 dollar cover.

I'd say they were struggling because they have an 800 person bar with 125 people in there.
