I have an 8-months lease that I signed in January with a bunch of friends who signed 12-month leases. I think landlords get more lenient about it if you're one of the very few to sign an 8-months and they really really like you and your friends.

In my first year though I was allowed to chose how long I wanted to live at the place. Didnt even sign a lease, just paid once every month. But yes as other people mentioned, I found that place over the summer. The bad thing was it was far from campus so I had to take the HSR everyday which really pissed me off sometimes.

I know West Village suites offers 8-month leases. It's also a pretty quiet building. They do charge a monthly fee for choosing a shorter lease, but it still saves you money and is a good option if you don't want to worry about subletting.

Anyone here from all female house looking for tenant in their house for 8 month lease for the coming year? I am soooooooooooooooooooo interested!

Apartment= no, 1 year lease agreement
Student Housing= very possible
