Alumni Weekend: Schedule of Events

Every spring on Alumni Weekend, the campus comes alive as up to 1000 alumni, friends, and family from around the world return to McMaster. This is the McMaster Alumni Association’s longest-standing program, previously called Grads’ Day. Classes celebrating their 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th, 65th and 70th reunion traditionally hold their celebrations during Alumni Weekend. Faculty specific reunions for younger classes and general events also take place this weekend.

Alumni Gallery Induction & MAA Awards Ceremony
A McMaster tradition that honours the outstanding achievements of our alumni and students. We invite you to join us in recognizing the remarkable contributions of these inspirational individuals: Dr. Myles Druckman, Dr. Nigel Fisher, Duncan Hannay, Dr. Allan Jackson, Stanley Kwan, Eugene Levy, Dr. Maureen Mancuso, and Dr. Paula Rochon.

Coffee Table Book Campus Tours
1 – 3 p.m.
Departing from McMaster University Student Centre
Tours will visit the many beautiful sites around campus also featured in the McMaster Coffee Table Book available for purchase in Titles during Alumni Weekend. The book is a collection of more than 100 photos that capture the campus through the seasons and the people who bring it to life.
McMaster Alumni Association Annual General Meeting

President’s Dessert Party
3 – 4:30 p.m.
The Donaldson Family Marketplace, McMaster University Student Centre
Bid a fond farewell to President & Vice-Chancellor Peter George as he celebrates his final Alumni Weekend. He welcomes alumni to the bustling Student Centre to sample desserts, listen to music and socialize with fellow alumni and friends.
All are welcome to this complimentary event!

Oh, so that's who the people were. I was wondering why there were so many adults dressed up so nicely. At first I thought it was convocation but I didn't see any students, plus one of the people asked me where CIBC hall was.
