God forbid we have pride in our country and our athletes! I think it's only fair that the stadiums were filled with mostly Canadians. We're the frickin host country. Sounds like someone is a little jealous that we won more golds than the US. It's a sad day when being proud of your nation means being a Nazi. This guy is pathetic.

Yeah, you might want to read the article.
"One thing I never saw: a simple flag or shirt with the five Olympic rings. Not anywhere. After 15 Olympics, that was a first.
I didn't attend the '36 Olympics, but I've seen the pictures. Swastikas everywhere.
No political reference is meant, just an Olympic one. What on earth were the Canadians thinking?"
I think it's completely stupid to compare canadian patriotism to Nazi symbols. We're proud of our culture, and throw up maple leaves to show it. The Nazis, on the other hand, threw swastikas around to remind the people who was in charge. Quite a difference.
It makes me wonder what this guys political affiliations are. Many americans paint canada as a fascist country, because of our socialist policies, like health care. If this guy is anti-health care reform (a big issue in the states right now), he's probably just stirring the socialism pot to help his cause. If that's not the case, he just sounds like an idiot.
