I disagree. Comments like "
Now, I'm wondering if Canadians can even recognize themselves. Nice party. But so 1936." and "
Flags were everywhere. The country's national symbol hung from windows and was worn on nearly everyone's clothing.Fervent crowds cheered every victory by the host nation. But enough about the 1936 Berlin Olympics." send a pretty clear message that he thinks our patriotism is equal to the fervour of the National Socialist Party. No, he doesn't come outright and say "Canadians are just like Nazis!" cause he'd probably be facing a lawsuit but the sentiment is there all the same.
