Its true that we don't always speak well of Americans. However I think many of the things we say Americans are valid opinions/concerns not outlandish claims to try and get people to read your article. To compare anybody to the Nazi's is just wrong. I hope there is never an example in the future that could be a valid comparison.

I disagree. Comments like "Now, I'm wondering if Canadians can even recognize themselves. Nice party. But so 1936." and "Flags were everywhere. But enough about the 1936 Berlin Olympics." send a pretty clear message that he thinks our patriotism is equal to the fervour of the National Socialist Party. No, he doesn't come outright and say "Canadians are just like Nazis!" cause he'd probably be facing a lawsuit but the sentiment is there all the same.

This is the media for you. I've noticed a lot of bashful articles being written about our nation. They are all sour that their countires didn't do well. SUCK IT UP! Olympics arn't about winners/losers its about nations coming together and putting on a show.

Perhaps if you consider our acquisition of a ridiculous number of gold medals to be comparable to the holocaust...
