New member of the forum, and a new student at Mac come September, so I decided to introduce myself.

My name is Kaitlyn, and I'm going to be a first year in Humanities, with an interest in English. I'm in the middle of choosing courses at the moment, which is annoying, yet necessary.

Not sure of what I want to do post-uni., but I'm desperate to avoid teaching. A dream career of mine would be travel writing, but I'm not getting my hopes up (I sound like such a pessimist.) If all else fails, I could work at the circus, right?

Looking at the handy outline the sticky gave us, I see that we're supposed to add something about our tastes and interests ... well, truth be told, I'm a bit of a nerd, so that'll be awkward. After all, I'm listening to the X-Files theme and using a Buffy icon, which is just the beginning. Music wise, I've got an eclectic taste and am not particularly picky, though most mainstream music today makes me wince. And other than that ... well, there's more, but this isn't a dating site or something.

What I expect from this site is to socialize with fellow students the way I know best (online) and to get some help in the transition from high school to university.

You could get paid by Microsoft to advertise their hardware through interpretive dance and fake elephants.
