The editing feature is only available 24 hours after your original post. Once that 24 hour window passes, you lose editing ability. This is to stop users from editing their messages in the forum to change their argument or what they said, in case someone disputes it later on. Also, if people change their original content of their post and people have replied to it, their replies may not make sense anymore. This is why we implemented a time limit on post editing.
