Another ID card question
Just got my ID card in the mail, and it doesn't have my complete name on it. Only my last name, and the first two letters of my first name. Is this normal?

Ok, thanks. I was getting annoyed that I'd have to contact the school and go through all that BS.

Last year (third year) my ID card was so blurry because it had been scratching in my pockets for years. At one of my exams, the invigilator made me go to get a new one so that my face would be clearer. It was a real nuisance, but now I have a brand new card! But for some reason, I have to swipe it a couple times before it actually works. It has the looks of a new card, with the mind of an old card! :S

Wait! Is that Batman?!?

So... if you want a new card all you have to do is mutilate your old card? Hmmm... Lol

Actually, no! If your card wears out from use, then they'll replace it for free. This sometimes happens to residence students (particularly if they're living there multiple years, not just one) because it starts to crack around the magnetic stripe since it's swiped so often.

The only caveat is, they have your picture already digitally on file, so they just print it again from that...so you can't use it as a strategy to get a better mugshot :p
