Anthro 1A03 marks..
So I got my mark for 1A03 today and to be blunt got a 0.

However I am almost sure this is wrong.

Who should I talk to about this? Do I email the prof?

Thank you.

Uhhh definitely email the prof about this. There has to be something wrong there.
I'm pretty sure you can't get a zero unless you did literally NOTHING the entire semester.

Ok thanks I will email the prof... hopefully this works out...

Though I should probably say something.. I got in the 60s on the first essay along with the quizzes, but I handed in the essay worth 25% too late and thus it wasn't marked, so I got 0 on it..

But the exam was worth 40% I believe so if I passed the exam wouldn't I pass the course??

You would at least get some form of mark, not a 0 ! lol

and no the exam is easy enough that you didnt need to cheat on it !

Omg... so I was just looking at my marks.

I got 61.20 on the essay worth 15%, 62 on the quizzes worth 20%, and 67 on the exam worth 40.%.... and no mark for the essay worth 25%...

Unless I calculated wrong I think I got a 49!!!!
University marks aren't bumped right?? Is there anything I can do??

Oh my gosh! That's really odd, hope you get it sorted out once you talk to the prof and all.

I am taking this course this semester with the same prof because I can tell you have the same mark structure as us.
Sorry this is off topic but if you could help, was the class difficult or no overall?! And how was the exam?

Uhh well I wouldn't call it difficult even though I failed haha..

As long you hand in all the work you will definitely pass.

The exam was pretty easy. 100 multiple choice questions I believe it was.

Anything else you want to know?

And thatguy was that comment more directed towards me or her? lol

Go through your tests, quizzes, essays or anything that counts towards your mark and look for ANYTHING that could get you that last 1.62% to pass.

Last year my math prof told me about a guy in his fourth year who he hadn't seen in 2 years suddenly showed up in his office. With him he brought an old test paper from a course 2 years prior and asked for a remark! This landed him some extra marks which was enough to raise his mark one grade point! This wasn't a pass/fail situation though lol.

Good luck!

Are you completely sure about this? Your prof may have just been exaggerating to prove a point. 9 months after a course finishes, all of its material (final exam, etc.) is destroyed, because otherwise Mac would be hanging onto thousands of final exams for years and years...I don't think it's plausible for a regrade to occur after such a long time period, because a lot of the other course material would be destroyed/become invalid.

--------------

However, I agree with the message: When in doubt, ask lots of questions! You'll be no worse off, and you may find that your prof made a mistake. And try to do so in a timely manner, so you don't wind up out of luck.

I calculated a 48.38%. To pass, you'd need an extra 1.62%, which translates into roughly 10.8% higher on your essay (probably the most likely way to get these points). Do you think it's plausible to regrade your essay and get a 72% or higher on it? If so, definitely do that!

(Speak with your professor too, if they know you need the grade, they may be willing to say "Ok, I think this deserves to pass").
