Hi: I was wondering if anyone took this course and could give me some reviews on it, The midterm are hard? thanks.

i took the course last term and I found it easy because the content was interesting to me. Dr.McGarry was one of the best profs I've had so far here at mac. The midterm wasn't hard, just read the coursepack and go over slides. There are two assignments which are essays so be prepared to write!

Who gave you essay mark? TA or profs ? Do you think final exam hard?

The TAs mark the paper, along with peer reviews (those don't count towards your mark but you get feedback). The first paper is a good draft (worth 15%) and then you get a chance to improve it with the feedback. I think the marking is fair but not easy.

Since someone else answered your second question I'll answer the second. The final exam is similar to the midterm and the prof doesn't make it cummulative so the content you learn after the midterm is on the final. She's pretty fair so if you study, you will do fine.

She said it would be cumulative this year.
