Any advice on bio 1A03 LAB EXAM?
Hello.
i have bio(1A03) lab exam on Friday. I was wondering if anyone could give advices/suggestions on how to study for the lab exam to ace it!
The format is 27 MC, I was wondering if the questions are similar to prelab test questions on avenue or is it totally different?
Any advice, tips and suggestions are appreciated!! thanks.

not similar to prelab. if you prepared for the labs and actually did them during lab time then you should be ok. know a few equations like the protein conc ones, microscope calculations, or w.e. have company names of materials in your lab boo like fischer,, know all procedures.

Does anyone know where to find the materials and their corresponding serial numbers and suppliers?

You were supposed to write them down during your labs.

Not really...most items are supplied by multiple companies. You could look up the items on a bunch of different websites to see if they "look" similar but that won't work for most things and is probably a waste of time. If you do find that though, then the serial number will be there as well. But, there's pretty much no way you could get the lot number from a website, since that depends on when the bio department bought the materials and whatnot.

Although if you're looking for any drugs or similar chemicals, a good guess would be Sigma-Aldrich. It's always the first place I look for things like that There are plenty of other places the department could have gotten them, but if you've got nothing else, it can't hurt to guess Sigma.
With actual equipment though, I don't think websites will be of much help.

I believe that the supplier information from avenue will suffice...speaking of this lab exam, does anybody want to get together and help contribute information? I'm positive that there is some information I missed during the labs, but I have no real way of checking...

It's really easy. Average for my year was around 87%.
