Yeah, I know. My tuition increases, I no longer have any scholarship money and I have less assets than I did last year and I don't get OSAP. *sigh*

Bursaries usually help a lot. I got 700 in first year and 800 in second year. Although with the recent financial problems that McMaster has expected, I expect the amount to go down.

Well the good thing is that McMaster doesn't like students not being able to take classes because of money, if it doesn't get sorted out right away, you can defer payment and such. Did they say why you're not getting it?

I think I dropped my income verification off last week and I got the amount I'm entitled today.
But I made several mistakes on the form, wrt expected income for the next year, and I submitted those changes last week too. I guess the amount'll go down again.

Sometimes going in person is a lot more helpful than emailing them or contacting them via phone. I was worried I'd need a bank loan next year and they were quick to discourage that. If not anything else, they'll be able to help you figure out what to do for next year but I really hope its just some technical thing that can be sorted out.

For some reason, it decided that I don't get the QEII scholarship this year...for the past two years I've got it, and this year it just says $0. I got the email saying my application has been processed...Does anyone have any idea why it would have changed? My CA is a 10.0, but my sessional average last year was slightly lower...could that be it? I know the QEII was based on high school marks, but I thought it was supposed to be renewed for each year regardless of marks?

Good to know there are bursaries available... Qualifying as a low-income family helps a lot with funding, however it probably won't be enough to cover a full year... Hopefully they don't decrease the bursary amounts that would be a drag!

I know you need to have a certain average each year, I believe in order for it to be renewed but the QEII always confused me so I'm not the best person to go by.

It may just take time. Did you mail in your supporting documents or drop them off?

Damn--you need an 80% average in each year (I just googled it). Which means the stupid 12-point grade system screwed me out of my money!!! If I take my actual marks (where known) and the mid-point for the grade range for all other courses, and average those together, I have an 82.1% average. My 12-point sessional average is a 9.4, however, which doesn't count :'( Fail.

I have no idea why it went to Stoney Creek...but I handed mine in in person 4-5 weeks ago, and I just got the email saying it was processed today.

Mine says that it has been processed but I still have to complete the Confirmation of Enrollment form.
Does anyone remember/know when to go to Mac to sign these?
It says that my Income Verification is still under review. Should I be worried about this?

I'd recommend just printing off another one and redoing it. The address should be on the forms you print off, I believe. You could always call up the post office and yell, but this way might be easier. Though the other one would save you more money, I imagine.
