So Ill be graduating from McGill this month as a Finance Major and I was planning on completing a CPA from Ontario.

After I graduate, I wanted to complete some pre-req courses through McMaster Uni this January through their continuing education centre (aimed towards getting credits for CPA PREP since im missing some accounting classes)

The courses I had in mind are:

- Intro to managerial accounting (online) (570 - 428)
- Intermediate Financial Accounting II (570-927)
- Advanced Financial Accounting (570-934)
- Business Law (570-436)

Has anyone taken these classes or has experience with CPA PREP?

For Intro to managerial accounting (COMM 2AB3) if you are taking it with Aadil Juma then dont bother buying any textbook there is no need just know how to do all the stuff he posts on avenue. Focus a lot on the tutorial questions because he likes to repeat them on tests. For his class, lectures are really important but they are really good because he is very concise and clear . I never felt bored in his class at all. they offer this course online ?? wow class overall was harder than comm 2aa3 (first financial accounting class) but not too bad

I think thats the course for undergrad commerce students, and since ill be attending the contd ed school, ill be taking different courses.

These are the courses i plan to take, for reference:

- Advanced Financial Accounting (570-934)

I am taking a class right now. If you haven't done so already send your transcripts to CPA and they will do an evaluation for free.

Yeah i already did. I think ill be exempt from M1/M3/M4/M6/M12, and maybe from M10

However apparently it will take them up to 3 months to review it..

I'll sign up for the winter session courses relating to M2/M5/M11 from McMaster because im sure i dont have these exemptions.

And after receiving my transcript results, Ill do M7/M8/M9/M10 somewhere (maybe through CPA Ontario because the M7/M8 courses that McMaster offers arent accredited)

Do you know where I can find a list of cont ed classes at mac that are accredited by CPA?

Whats your situation btw? Are you trying to take pre-req classes then going into CPA PEP?

I finished my degree in economics. I am an accounting assistant atm. I am taking classes at cont ed right now to get my CPA. I am not that far along right now. I am currently taking Intermediate Financial Accounting I.
