Apparently my parents are sending me to work at a US owned web-design company in Ecuador for next summer after I graduate.
Not sure how I feel about this.

Whenever I hear Ecuador now, I think of Julian Assange, as he's seeking asylum in Ecuador.

Who knows, you might just end up meeting him!

Shouldnt you be a big enough boy by then to not have your parents making decisions for you? Seems kinda weird that your parents have control of your career right out of university:S

Well, they're not forcing me to do it really, just strongly suggesting I should since it's only for a few months and a radical change of pace from life here. I'm not sure though since Ecuador is right next to Colombia and also has a pretty good crime rate...

They are also beautiful countries, and most of the people are awesome.
Yes, the crime rate is much higher than it is here, but that's not all there is to the country.

I'd love to live and work in London (UK) but I know from family that everything's ridiculously expensive there and the "system" is corrupt/overly abused...I'd absolutely love to work in Toronto or Vancouver, or in the US (chicago or the NY-Newark area)

I'd love to move to/work in Australia or England. It would be ideal to do an exchange there in my third year, but I'll have to look into any conflicts between a work visa and a prior student visa.
I just couldn't stand living in one country my entire life and not experiencing others -- a choice to leave would be no reflection of Canada at all! =)
