AP Psychology Exam
To anyone who has completed the AP psychology exam and received a score of 5, how does that transfer into a university credit? Does it mean you get a 12 in a similar psychology class that mac offers or do you just get a credit in a similar psychology class without a grade?

I know nothing about AP, but there is absolutely no way they'd just give you a 12.
Most likely, you'll just get the credit without the grade (i.e. a grade of "P").

I completed AP Cal BC with a 5 last year and they transferred my credits as Math 1F03 without a grade (just a completion grade like that of the WHIMS course).

This is the dilemma IB/AP kids have to make. 1) Exchange the good exam score for a university credit (which is a compelling argument for parents to put their kids in these programs) or 2) treat it like an advanced university prep course and use that knowledge to get a 12 in this 1st year course.

Personally I would take the course to get a high mark to help your GPA.

Well, there are far more interesting courses than plain old first year courses to take in university. If you work hard, getting good marks is not difficult.. I personally do not like learning what I already know again, just to boost up my average, and frankly, I dont care, as I am in engineering.. But, if you can get a free credit, why gamble? University stuff far more rigorous anyways, so I would probably just get that mark in.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm probably going to just send in the mark because I took the exam for a reason. Hopefully I don't regret my decision.
