Uh, it isn't open. It's pinned to the taskbar. The only thing that isn't is Paint. If it was open, it would have that white-ish effect.

Lol it's not.
Anyone who works for the school has an instructor tab available to them - if you're a TA, or a professor, or whatever, you can make your own courses and invite others. I'm a TA for a course on Avenue, but unfortunately it's not a real course nor do I get monetary compensation :(

Actually, they didn't on mine. I only had 1 course on avenue for all of first term.
