So my fiancee and I are looking for an 8 month lease on a bachelor/1bd apartment and it just seems next to impossible to find.... either way I'm flying back home to Calgary this sunday and we have decided to wait it out till the month-to-month high rises open up for Sept. Im wondering has anyone done this before? Is it viable?

You'll have a tough time securing a place without a lease. The fortunate thing is that you're allowed to break most leases within a reasonable time of notification. Read up on your tenancy protection acts to learn more.

Well these aren't hotels, these guys aren't aiming to be concierges. That's why a lease exists, to create at least a few months of commitment to save time and hassle.
