He is slow; baby-steps you. I've heard from other people that because of this, they felt behind/unprepared for the tests. Besides that, I've heard that he is pretty clear with his lectures.

hmmm...okay thanks. And How is Lovric in terms of speed?

And does that mean tests are written by like the department and everyone in that term does it at the same time?

Everyone writes the same tests (written by the department) regardless of the prof and it is written at the same time. Also, I had Baker last year for 1LS3. His notes were well-organized but as the other poster indicated, he goes too slow. Lovric wrote the textbook for the course and I heard from others that he is very good prof.

By going slow I meant that he spend a lot of time re-iterating some of the most basic problems...when more time could have been spend on other things. Overall, he was not a bad prof, and I didn't feel unprepared for the tests. If I had to choose between Lovric or Baker, I would go with Lovric.

That's true...I had early morning classes with Baker and got lazy and didn't end up attending a lot of lectures.

take with baker since it fits better in your schedule. the class is very easy if you do the courseware from what i hear so you should be able to do fine no matter who your prof is.

I personally had Clements and I found to her to be amazing! She was absolute clear with explaining concepts and examples. She uploaded her lecture slides whereas Lovric didn't (Baker uploaded his lecture notes as well). I felt she was a bit slow with teaching at times, but I think this is consistent with all the professors teaching 1LS3.

Overall the course material is not bad at all; you would still be successful no matter whose lecture you attend. It was a review of gr 12 concepts (derivatives and limits) with the addition of integration.

p.s. Clement's hot for those of you who want eye-candy during class

I'm a bit confused. Can you actually choose your professors?

By switching cores you have the option of choosing a different prof .
