Balanced Terms?
Hey guys, I'm going to be selecting courses Tuesday (Monday midnight) and I thought I would ask if anyone could tell me how to balance my course load.

My program is Medical Radiation Sciences (1st Year) with the following courses:

• Biology 1A03 (Cellular & Molecular Biology)
• Math 1LS3 (Calculus for Life Sciences)
• Kinesiology 1Y03 (Human Anatomy and Physiology I)
• Kinesiology 1YY3 (Human Anatomy and Physiology II)
• MedRadSc 1A03 (Introduction to Medical Radiation Sciences)
• MedRadSc 1B03 (Introduction to Pathology)
• MedRadSc 1C03 (Introduction to Physics for MedRadSci)
• MedRadSc 1D03 (Introduction to Professional Practice)
• Econ 1B03 (Introductory Microeconomics)
• Econ 1BB3 (Introductory Macroeconomics)

So 10 courses, 5 each term. Which courses would work best together and help create balanced terms.

Thanks in advance.

They are both part of my program/degree, therefore I have to take them. I've got only 2 electives (Micro & Macro Econ)

good for you! well there is certain courses only offered in first or second term
so keep that in mind
take kin 1y03 first term, kin 1yy3 second
and take econ 1b03 first then econ 1bb3 second

check the master time table https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca /mtt/ to check which ones in which term

Try to get Dr. Lovric for Math 1LS3, whichever term he teaches.

your terms are probably going to look like this

term 1:
bio 1a03
math 1ls3
medrad 1a03
kin 1y03
econ 1b03

term 2:
medrad 1b03
medrad 1c03
medrad 1d03
kin1yy3
econ 1bb3

i've never taken econ, but i've taken everything else. Go to class for all the medrad courses, and try to get your hands on the custom courseware for 1a03 and 1d03, because that's what your midterm and final is based on. The textbook would also be a good idea for 1b03, and especially 1a03, because the information is self taught. For 1a03, the information the quizzes are on is self taught form the textbook, and for 1b03, there are a few self study units. For me, i found term 2 harder tham term 1, so build good habits in term 1. Good luck!

Dr. Lovric teaches Term 1. So I should probably choose Bio 1A03 for 2nd Term, its taught by KAJIURA LJ,& WILSON, J.

By the way, what does the red bold letters EOW mean? its alongside the list of lab times.

It means Every Other Week. So therefore your labs will be eow. They do it by odd and even numbers. Odds one week, evens the next.

all of the 1ls3 first term either overlap with our kin or medrad cores...

From what I've heard, Wilson isn't too great of a prof. Go look them up on ratemyprof

The other option is taking it in Term 1 with KAJIURA LJ,& Xudong Zhu (Even worse rating on RateMyProff)..

So we are screwed regardless. However taking it in Term 2 is the better option I think.

I liked Wilson...a good chunk of people like her, and a good chunk despise her. Don't automatically believe everything you read about people online.

I was wondering, does Solar tell you if you have conflicting time slots for courses?
