bank maciene fail
^^^ oops spelled it wrong.. meant bank MACHINE fail...(sry) ^^^
hey so i went to get some cash yesterday from the CIBC bank machine in the student center and i really didnt check the bills whe i got them but today when i went to pay for my hair cut i found that 2 of my 20s had a 3rd of them missing, like it was choped off.
so i was wandering how u can replace these cus i doubt anyone is going to accept them
anyone know

Also, go to a bank branch, and they'll change the bills for you.

Apparently the bill is still legit as long as more than half of it is there.

haha old habit but who doesnt like wandering around its nice, especially in the summer, if the sun ever comes out that is..

I don't think any businesses will accept it. You're better off skipping the middle man and going straight to the bank to get it replaced.

yea i just called them and they gave me a bunch of excuses, basically they said theyll have to "look" at it and then they will decide if they can replace it or not cus far as they know i could have ripped it my self -_-... oh well ill go tomorrow and try

How can you NOT notice a chopped off bill when putting it in your wallet :/

Probably it was in the pile and not the first or last bill which are more visible [fully].

banks will replace the bill IF and only if the serial number is intact. At least that was what I was told when my dog chewed up a $100 bill. (we were able to take the little pices of ripped up paper and reconstruct the serial number)

and yea i had to withdraw a clouple bills cus i was paying for a txt book ( which should give u a rough estimate of exactly how many bills were in the pile) and im guessing it was somewhere in the middle and when i counted them i must have looked at the un ripped side
