Basic Political Science and History Courses
Hi all,

I took MUSIC 2II3 this semester and it was really good for filling in the gaping holes of my musical knowledge (I am known to the be the musically ignorant one in my group of friends.. not anymore!). I was wondering there are basic political science and history courses at McMaster that I could take to accomplish the same things as pertaining to those subjects? I'm aware that all of that was covered in highschool, but I feel that I could use a little refreshing.

So which courses should I be looking at, if such courses do exist? I'd rather go by students' opinions and experiences as course descriptions can be misleading.

Thanks in advance!

To fill in a basic knowlege of political science courses your best bet would be to take 1G06, as it sets the parameters for any upper year courses.

If you want a survey European history course take 1A03 and 1AA3. 1A03 covers from the French Revolution to the Enlightenment and 1AA3 covers from the end of the Englightenment to the end of WW2.

There are also Classical History survey courses, they've changed the codes around this year but they're basically the history of Greece to the Roman conquest and the second course is the history of Rome to the rise of Christianity and the fall of the Empire.
