Best Place for Pancakes
(In Hamilton)
Preferably one that has the option of mixed berries - tons and tons of them.
Any suggestions?

There is "The Pancake House" south-west of campus. I've never gone, but it's always packed when it's open, so I assume it's good.

Pancake house isn't the type of establishment he's looking for... it's more of a general breakfast food joint.
I've looked for the type of "all you can eat" or gourmet pancake places, and it doesn't look like there are any in Hamilton.
The closest I could find was an IHOP in Niagara Falls. :( Sorry.

I wasn't impressed with Pancake House when I went.
What about Cora's, in Ancaster? They ONLY serve breakfast foods, so their hours are something like 7am-3pm

If Cora's is the chain I'm thinking of, I don't know if they serve pancakes. They do specialize in crepes, though.

They do serve pancakes, but I think they only have three varieties or something. They serve many more kinds of crepes, omlettes etc.

Cora's is awesome a bit on the pricier side, but still a good place to go to...I recommend it

Your house.
Step 1: Make/buy pancake mix
Step 2: Make/buy mixed berries
Step 3: Cook pancakes
Step 4: Place mixed berries on pancakes
Step 5: Consume
You can have unlimited quantites of pancakes and mixed berries using this method, and probably for much cheaper than eating at any over priced pancake/breakfast joint.
If you're looking to make a sauce with mixed berries generally you would just throw them in a pot with a bit of water and sugar if desired and let it reduce down.
Breakfast joints imo are terribly overpriced.
Its not pancakes but on weekends until 2 pm Commons (on campus) has Waffles with a variety of toppings, one of them being mixed berries and you can have as much toppings as you want. I think its like $5.99.

I'm no expert at cooking, but IIRC, if you do it with cooking oil, then they kind out...not crunchy, but not soft either. It's delightful. Only way I'll eat pancakes. XD

I think that belongs in every pancake-related topic.

If you have a car, The Egg & I in Ancaster is pretty good. It's nothing fancy, but their pancakes are fantastic. Plus, they serve breakfast all day!

I LOVE pancakes and I have to say that the pancake house is disgusting. I've only gone once and never again. The pancakes were hard and dry and tasted like they were from a cardboard box. The fruit on it tasted like it was past the expiry date.
But maybe it was just an off-day for them since many of you seem to enjoy it!
