They're all pretty awesome. Each rez has its pros and cons. It's the students living in the rez that matters in the end. Plus, every person's opinion would be different based on what they prefer. Traditional over suite/apartment, themed over non-themed etc. So there is really no best residence on campus. The whole residence experience is determined by the students living there and the social interactions between them.

All residences are AMAZING! I don't understand why people pump up Keyes and Bates so much. Also, it's not like you can choose which residence you want (unless you're in the IRC) so which is best should not matter.

Yep, nino's right. It's the people that you have in your building that either make it the best experience.. or not the greatest, unfortunately.. And especially because of the fact that almost all buildings have the same services: study rooms, common rooms, etc. So it all depends on one's own personal experiences.

depends what you mean by best...

best for living = keyes... i was in keyes last year, and its awesome.

keyes for parties/social stuff = not so amazing lol.

pretty good parties and stuff in hedden, i had a bunch of friends that lived there so, yeah, hedden is pretty good for parties/also decent living.

meh, you'll find that as you meet more people you end up going to a bunch of different residences anyways and your not in your room as often, so as long as yours has a bed you should be good

there are residence's, such as Edwards, that are themed in the sense that many international students stay there and so yeah... international theme... self explanatory...

i guess you could say les prince has a football theme? since some football players stay there (right next to the field)

wait.. is edwards the international one? or the french one?

now im just confused myself lol..

Les Prince is good because it's in north quad (So you're close to commons to eat), it's the newest building so it has modern phones and good A/C, and it's close to the underground parking lot if a) you have a car and b) you park it there.

Haha, the talking elevator was actually majorly annoying after a while!

Les Prince is one of the newest buildings, so everything is shiny and pretty and (relatively) clean. The dryers only take one round to actually dry your clothes, and the couches don't smell like sweat (yet). The rooms also all have their own bathrooms, which I loved. A/C is also a major deciding factor for some people, although it never really bothered me much.

I really don't know what makes the "best" residence. It depends on what type of person you are. If you're in a traditional style room (i.e. non suite style, and no attached bathroom) then the odds are your common rooms will be more used, and you'll get to meet people faster. In LP, Keyes, and Bates, sometimes its hard to know if people are still alive in their rooms, because you pretty much never have to leave except for class.

I loved living in a traditional triple room. It got squishy sometimes, and the bathrooms were pretty gross, but really, you get used to it. I loved Les Prince too. I loved the privacy, and only having to clean up after myself. Your res experience is what you make of it.

kanishka, ~*Sara*~ all say thanks to Geek for this post.
