Best residence for engineers?
Is there a residence that is mostly all engineering students?
That would be a bonus when choosing where to stay.

No.
People from every faculty are in every residence.

Dont think so, though if you get a room-mate, on your preference quiz you can put that you would prefer to have an engineer as your room mate.

The West Quad residences are a bit closer to JHE, but in first year your classes will be fairly spread out so it doesn't really make a huge difference.

I'm not sure about other residences, but I lived in Matthews for 2 years and there seemed to be alot of engineers in the building. In my first year, our quad of 8 people had 4 engineers in it (3 guys plus me) . The past year, my room was a bit isolated, but in the quad of 6 people above me, 3 were engineers (all guys) and my room was right below them.
I'm not sure if it's like this in other residences or not, but you're sure to find other engineers in any residence you live in.

I think the only 'res' that comes close to being engineers-only is if you sleep in the Engineers Lounge in JHE lol. Unfortunately residences are different mixes each year

Trust me, you'll find other engineering students in your building no matter which one you end up in. Plus mixing up the students helps you meet people in other faculties, who ,you never know, might be cool people! The greater diversity in residence, the better support system you get for all kinds of courses you might want to take.
