Engineers without Borders
I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about EWB (engineers without borders) at McMaster? Now I could easily google it or look at their webpage, but that isnt what I am asking.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What do you guys know about EWB?
Who they are?
Do you know what they do?
Have you been to any of their events?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The website or EWB members would obviously have a good idea of what goes on, but what does the average student know? Are they visible?

Dont google them before you answer, just tell me what you know right now without research. I want what you know, not what google knows! If you guys help me out with this I will post a few ridiculous pictures of my dog.

As far as I know:

EWB is a not-for-profit engineering organization.
My understanding is they're sort of like a free engineering firm for the third world.

There's a first year eng project (probably still around) that's based on real projects that EWB has done. That's how I know most of what I know.
Also, if you know anything about Doctors without borders, I think EWB is a good analogue.

As far as the McMaster group I've heard very little from them and know very little about them.
