Biology 1A03 vs. 1M03
Hi, I was wondering what the difference is between 1A03 and 1M03 Biology. Is one easier then the other? Are they equivalent? Do you need 1A03 later on and not 1M03 if your Level II Program is going to be Honours Chemistry?

Bio 1A03 is pretty much cellular biology. Bio 1M03 deals with evolution. I don't suppose you have to take either for Honours Chem but you may find yourself more interested in them than you might think. I had to take Chem and never though I'd be majoring in Chem Bio. Now, my passion for Bio is nothing compared to my love of chemistry. It might be nice having as many doors open to you as you can have

1M03 is the worst course ever.
Just saying.

I personally felt 1M03 was harder (due to Quinn's material), but both were easily 10able++.

I hated 1M03 because you have to do a presentation. =(

I preferred the 1M03 material, but PBL was terrible...

1A03 was the better course, virus stuff was interesting with jacobs. Labs in 1A03 were definitely more interesting than PBL in 1M03.

Personally I loved the PBL, even if it was very stressful at the time, walking out of it I think I learned more from that than from all the tutorials put together.

I think the material was easier for 1M03, but definitely more interesting for 1A03. (I didn't like Jacobs' part actually, but Wilson's was super cool).

Genetics and biotechnology part of 1A03 was also very interesting now that you mention it. Wilson did a good job I thought.

Yeah, she taught that class well, but 2nd year classes with here were really disappointing.
