Biology 2D03 vs. Bio 2F03
Hi everyone!

I noticed Bio 2D03 has labs everyweek... are those really time consuming and hard? I have 3 labs already for the first term.. and don't want anymore labs.

For bio 2F03, is it alot of memorization and whatnot?
How are the labs compared to labs for 2F03?

urghh.. i hate these courses but i have to take them if i wanna get into bio honors program.

I haven't taken those courses, but judging by the fact that those are biology labs, I seriously doubt they are hard and labour intensive.

I thought you pick the program prior to entering second year. Are you switching programs?

i took bio 2d03 last semester and found the labs to be really time-consuming (especially if you don't have a camera!). however, the 3 hours they give you each week should be enough to get all the information down that they give you in each lab... but you'll definitely need to study it all later, since there isn't enough time to copy it down and study it during the actual lab.

i highly suggest bringing a digital camera, or else you'll be inundated with work during the lab.

Camera for taking pictures of things for the notebook lab, I'm assuming.

2F03 was pretty easy when Kolasa was taking it. Not much memorization, just KNOW the key concepts and be able to explain them and it's an easy 12.

sinthusized says thanks to Lois for this post.

I'm trying to decide which of these two courses I should take for the 2009/2010 year. If Dr. Chow-Fraser is teaching 2F03 and Dr. Cameron is teaching 2D03, can anyone comment on either prof and whether which may be easier to get an 12? Thanks in advance!
