I took this course in the fall with Dr. Rheinstadter and it was a really interesting course. You took physics concepts (such as kinematics, forces, waves, etc.) and looked at how they're used in biological systems. For example, you learned about how bats used waves for echolocation or the forces acting on a grasshopper when it jumps. It was much more physics based and it focused more on the macroscopic level of biological systems, but it was a great course overall!

On what seems to be course website, it says the course follows 1B03 closely with emphasis on biological systems (near the bottom of the page). So it probably is harder than 1L03.

Just google Biophysics 1S03. Most courses don't have sites like that and instead are just on Avenue. Math courses have sites on the Math department website. There also seems to be lectures on YouTube for this course. Here's the course outline from last year: http://www.physics.mcmaster. ca/fil... all_2012.pdf
