That is heartbreakingly tragic.
Though there is nothing anybody can really do to ease the pain, especially considering the nature of the violence, my thoughts go out to all the families affected.

it's bad enough that it was a shooting but the fact that innocent children died makes it even worse

Tea party won't ever give up their pro-gun stance yo... And they have too much money to ever get squeezed out of the government. They will always be backing Republicans in the House.

that's not what i am saying. Maybe a poor choice of words. But it's heartbreaking when little innocent kids are dead.

Welcome to the 21st century. Where family life is a rarity, drugs and alcohol are cool, and children go to school in the morning, only to never come home again.

They will never ever ban guns. And its the genius of the nra fighting for their guns. They will fight for everything and give up nothing. Most probably dont care about owning automatic assault rifles and only care about the hand guns, but the second they give up assualt rifles the next thing on the line is their hand guns.
Compare it to smokers who once could smoke anywhere but slowly got pushed to designated areas, then the patio, then outside, then 10m from the door.

This trend of mindless violence towards innocents, especially children who are unable to defend themselves, is just horrendous.
Not to mention, a similar incident happened in china just earlier today, except the attacker had a knife, not a gun:
