Bug problem.
About a week ago, I found this bug on my bed. It had really long legs, moved fast, was brown and had a long body. I killed it. Anyways, my roommate found the same kind of bug in her room too and she was scared as well. A few days later, I saw one near the outlet and killed it (funny thing is, the outlet stopped working a few hours later). Today, while writing my lab report, I saw this HUGEEEEE bug on my wall. I think it was the same kind, its legs were longer than those spiders with really long legs. Usually, I kill bugs without much thought, but this one was SCARY. I'm still going like this . Anyways, does anyone know what kind of bug it is and the best way to get rid of it? :S I've never seen them before and at my house back in Scarborough I never had to deal with bugs. I live off campus next to fortinos. Thanks for the help!
Still ing.

Did it have tons of legs, all the way around its body? (They may have looked kind of like antennae or something, since they are thin and generally light-coloured.) The first thing I thought of when I saw your description was a house centipede. Just do a quick search on Google images to find out if that's what you saw.

Bugs are huge in Hamilton. My theory as to why? the same reason why there's so many handicapped, unhealthy, gross, etc, looking people in Hamilton.
Regardless... probably a centipede. Hamilton has plenty of them. Especially since we all live in old houses with cracked foundation.

Oops, I forgot to mention that I didn't think it was a centipede. It only had lots of legs in the upper portion of it's body and the legs were really, really long. I live in the basement and upstairs, there's a spider problem (none down here though), but they don't have the unknown bug up there. :S Kind of peculiar...
Edit: Oh yeah, it's very squishy, by that I mean its easy to kill with a little force.

Actually the fact that there isn't a bug problem upstairs but there is a spider problem makes sense. The spiders are likely killing the bugs and basically cleaing up for you.
Solution: bring spiders downstairs

LOL. But the bugs are like 5x bigger than the spiders. Besides, I don't think any of my roommates would want to go catch spiders.

WHY HELLO THAR!
Chances are, it's probably one of these things. They run at quantum speed.
One of my worst experiences ever was this one time when I was leaning back in my computer chair stretching, and then one fell out of the light fixture into my eyeball.
Shit's scary.

UGH, the memories are coming back .
Honestly, if that ever happened to me I'd be traumatized for life. I'm scared to quote you 'cause I'd have to look at it.
