Buying older edition books?
Has anyone bought textbooks older in edition and had trouble studying? I am debating whether or not to get an older edition. They are alot cheaper!

It depends on the class and professor. Some professors will put up the readings and practice questions for older textbook editions. Most first year classes the material itself doesn't change so you can find the information via the index, it would be up to you do pick and choose which practice questions to do though (if any).

I suggest waiting until after the first class to see if the prof allows you to use older editions, or at the very least so you can ask him/her if it's okay to use older editions.

I second this. I had old editions of history textbooks last year but I emailed the prof to ask them first.
