For first year students it says only the casio fx-991 is allowed.

there are 2 models of the casio fx 991 however:

The casio fx991ES PLUS C

The casio fx991MS PLUS

The campus store only sells the casio fx991MS PLUS but can i use the casio fx991ES PLUS C instead??

As long as it says Casio-FX-991 on it, you should be fine.

Get the casio fx991ES PLUS C one. It automatically convert fraction and other weird numbers for you. Its awesome.
